I have never really been much of a girly-girl. Sure I love feminine pieces, but I tend to be drawn more towards bohemian inspired silhouettes and details like crochet. Anything white lace is my ultimate weakness. There is something so beautiful about an intricate white lace pattern that I just cannot resist. Needless to say, it was love at first sight when I saw this dress.

I can’t really name one season as my favorite. They each have such unique characteristics, memories, and life events that make them equally special to me. As the fall season commences I reflect on what I love most about this season. The chill in the air that makes me want to snuggle up in cozy knits, pumpkins of all shapes, sizes and colors, and one of my very favorite holidays that brings family and friends around a dinner table to reflect on the many blessings the year has brought.
Happy first day of Fall! Today’s look to love is the lace up flat. I honestly don’t know what I did without them, especially now that I walk everywhere. I admittedly was never much of a flats girl, but that has definitely changed! What is better than being comfortable and chic? Aside from comfort, I also love how versatile they are. The perfect pair can instantly dress up a favorite pair of denim and look adorable with a dress or skirt for those days when heels just won’t do. I’m constantly tempted to scoop up every single pair I come across. Shop my favorites at all price points below & your happy feet can thank me later!
Don’t get me wrong I am all about sweater weather and the crisp cool days ahead, but I also adore summer attire like this floral sun dress. It is so hard to say goodbye to the warm weather and with it dresses, rompers, and shorts. With the addition of few light layers, any summer item can serve as the basis for the perfect fall ensemble. Today I’m sharing two looks to help take summer staples into the cooler months ahead.
As I write this it is a solid 90 degrees in my home (joys of no air conditioning), but regardless of what the temp is outside fall fashion is officially here. During these transitional months it can be difficult to put together an outfit at times. If you are impatient like me, you probably want to jump right into cozy knits and deeper hues as soon as September hits. In most places, this is just not realistic since summer will be here for about another two months (at least in California). The best way to deal with this fashion conundrum is to slowly incorporate pieces that are still wearable for the current climate yet on trend for the upcoming season. Flared denim is one such item that is huge for fall and still wearable right this minute. I especially love the pocket detail on this pair.
Summer may be coming to a close, but in San Francisco its just getting started. The indian summer climate means that we have a few more months of “warm” temps. In general, it’s always a little Fall like here especially when the fog rolls in. I have learned the hard way that it is essential to carry a sweater at all times because you never quite know what to expect! I am happy that Fall fashion has arrived because I can’t get enough of sweaters, boots and layering. Given the ever changing weather in the city, I have become somewhat of an expert on how to dress for the summer to fall transition.
My current look to love is anything with lace up detailing. There is something very feminine and beautiful about a lace up top or dress. The look can be easily worn more modest or sexy depending on how open you leave the laces. No matter how you wear it, you’re sure to look on point. I am absolutely obsessed with my white lace-up tunic I scored from H&M earlier this summer. It is so versatile & I can’t wait to pair it with booties for fall. It unfortunately sold out pretty quickly, but I adore this very similar version and the beautiful embroidered detail on this one. Shop some of my other favorites below & get ready to turn some heads!
