Spring is in full bloom on the west coast and for those still battling the bitter cold there is no better cure to the winter blues than fresh Spring fashion. I tend to shop a lot more in the warmer half of the year because of where I live and also because I have a love of things like crochet, the color white, and floral prints. If you have visited the Girl About Town ‘Shop’ page you will see evidence of just how much I adore Spring fashion. Amidst the plethora of blush tones and sweet details, it is important to begin with the basics. These are the items I constantly find myself reaching for and get the most wear as the weather warms up. Sharing my five wardrobe essentials for Spring below.
Girl About Town 5 Spring Wardrobe Essentials
White has transcended into a year round staple in denim, but I especially love it this time of year. Distressing and rips for a worn in look are my personal favorite.
2. Trench Coat
A trench coat is quintessentially Spring- the perfect light layer for mostly sunny days. Try the classic silhouette in a fun new color like of the moment Rose Quartz or in a lightweight draped fabric.
3. White Sneakers
I shared all the fresh kicks I am coveting in yesterday’s post, but a white set pairs best with this seasons softer color palette.
4. Saddle Bag
I still love a great bucket bag, but feel the saddle bag is the silhouette of Spring this year.
5. Straw Hat
A straw hat looks perfect paired with jeans or a dress and provides protection for your pretty face from harmful UV rays while soaking up all the sunshine.
