Going back to basics today and sharing this look with some tried and true closet staples. I didn’t start building my wardrobe around basics until a few years ago. I was always wanting to go out and try the latest trends, which left me with a closet full of pieces that got old quick. I used to also be big on patterns, but now gravitate more towards solids and neutrals. Building a wardrobe around classic staple pieces is like creating a foundation for your style. It also makes getting ready a whole lot easier since classic pieces are easier to mix and match.
A great pair of denim is one of my top closet staples because most likely you wear them all. the. time! I picked this pair up about two years ago and wear them constantly. I just got them in this darker wash recently too!
This suede moto jacket is always on heavy rotation. It instantly adds polish and a little bit of edge to any look. I have it in this color too. Love that it is a little bit of a softer look than a classic black leather moto (which is another piece I highly recommend having in your closet!).
Basic tees and tanks are my daily go to since I love a layered look (shared a post about my go to outfit formula here). These henley tees are so soft – I seriously live in them! They are a bit sheer in the lighter colors so I like to wear a cami or bralette underneath for some extra coverage.
Xo,
