I had such a wonderful weekend celebrating my man’s b day. It was a nice relaxing time spent enjoying lots of laughs, great conversation and delicious food with friends and family. I always feel like the best weekends make getting back to the work week grind that much harder. Lucky for me its going to be a short week. We are heading up to Seattle, Vancouver & maybe Whistler for a little (much needed) vacation. We are very excited for this trip and would greatly appreciate any recommendations of where to go and what to see!
Happy August! The summer season has gone by too quickly. Luckily summer lasts until about November here in California so I am planning on soaking up the sunshine for a few more months. Typically when its a grey & gloomy in the city, we will take the opportunity to explore nearby areas while getting some sun time in the process. It is nice to be able to drive even just an hour in any direction & have so many great areas to visit. Having never visited Northern California very much before moving here, I am looking forward to more weekend trips!
I am definitely the type of person that loves to follow trend reports. As soon as fashion week comes to a close, I immediately start researching what big trends of the season were seen on the runways (sometimes even before if possible). I typically like to incorporate a trend into my personal style, but if something doesn’t feel like me (wedge sneakers come to mind) then I won’t try to force it just to be “on trend”. One of my favorite looks of the moment is the off the shoulder neckline. From tops to dresses, the silhouette is feminine and flattering. If you have managed to resist trying this look, I’ve rounded up some of my favorite off the shoulder pieces below. Check back soon for even more off the shoulder outfit inspo!
Although the year is more than half way through (how did that happen?!), I am excited to start this new chapter. A lot has changed for me recently. I moved to a new city, started a new job, and decided to finally pursue a passion project. There has been a lot of firsts along the way and I am still learning as I go. But overall, I am proud of myself for stepping outside of my comfort zone and giving myself the opportunity to have a fresh start. I hope I can inspire others to do the same! I am excited about what the rest of the year has in store & look forward to sharing it with you here! This is just the beginning!
